Rep. Harris recognizes Prospect High School student Mike
Stanford. Mr. Jason Block, school adviser, is on the left
and Mike's mom, Christine, is on the right.
Mike's article, entitled "East vs West: Is This A Fair Fight" compared the two divisions, East and West, of the Mid Suburban League, and the disparities between the two. His article was published in the Prospector, the school's newspaper. The newspaper also earned recognition at the competition taking second place in the Best of Show. Mr. Jason Block, the school's newspaper adviser said that winning the honor is like winning a Pulitzer Prize for a high school student.
