Harris Hosts 5th Annual Senior Health Fair

State Representative David Harris (R-Arlington Heights) announced that he is hosting his Annual Senior Health Fair again this year from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Thursday, October 19th at the Mount Prospect Village Hall. This will be the 5th year that Rep. Harris has hosted the health fair at this location. It is open to all who want to attend.

“The Annual Health Fair is a community event that has grown in attendance and exhibitors over the years,” said Harris, “and I am delighted that we have an even larger commitment of exhibitors this year than in the past.”

The Health Fair provides important medical services like Flu Shots (free with Medicare), Pneumonia Vaccinations, Blood Pressure Screening, A1C Screening, and Hearing Screening. There is also a Heart Health Booth.

There are more than 30 exhibitors this year, including The Moorings of Arlington Heights, Escorted Transportation Services Northwest, Fantastic Smiles, Illini Health Care, Nova Care Rehabilitation, and Transitional Care of Arlington Heights. The Illinois Treasurer’s Office will be there to offer assistance on “I-Cash,” the program that identifies abandoned assets and returns them to rightful recipients.

As a special exhibitor this year, the Northwest Community Healthcare Therapy Dogs will be on hand.

“This year’s Health Fair is shaping up to be another great community event,” added Harris.
